Festival do Caracol Saloio em Loures / Snails Saloio Festival in Loures

Este ano tive a oportunidade de conseguir ir até ao Festival do Caracol Saloio em Loures, um evento de cultura popular ao qual, cada vez mais, não se pode faltar. Realiza-se anualmente, na segunda quinzena de Julho, uma boa altura para saborear especialidades feitas à base de caracóis e caracoletas. Os restaurantes representados incluem uma grande diversidade para experimentar.

Se não estou em erro esta foi a quarta vez que assisti a este evento. Este não foi dos anos mais fortes, já teve mais restaurantes e mais feirantes em volta do recinto, contudo valeu a pena ir até lá.

Se gostar de caracóis ainda vai a tempo de ir até lá visto que o festival ainda está a decorrer até dia 28 de Julho.

Cultura popular também é cultura.

This year I had the opportunity to get to go to the Festival of the Snail Saloio in Loures, an event of popular culture which, increasingly, you can’t miss. It is held annually in mid-July a good time to enjoy the specialties made primarily of snails and caracoles. The restaurants represented include a wide variety to try.

If I am not mistaken this was the fourth time I attended this event. This was not the strongest years, has had more restaurants and more merchants around the room, but it was worth it to go there.

If you like snails will still time to go there since the festival is ongoing until July 28.
