Olá a todos, a semana passada na quarta-feira, dia 21 de janeiro de 2015, a Microsoft lançou o Windows 10. Esta nova versão do Windows pretende representar uma rutura com o passado e vem com 10 novidades de que vos vou falar um pouco de seguida:

1ª Gratuito: o Windows 10 será gratuito no primeiro ano para utilizadores de versões superiores ao Windows 7. Para estes, o novo sistema operativo será disponibilizado sob forma de atualização gratuita. O Windows 10 aplica-se a várias tipologias de dispositivos. O objetivo é acelerar a adesão do maior número de pessoas possível ao novo sistema.

2ª Spartan: é o substituto do Internet Explorer. A Microsoft está assim a trabalhar num novo "browser", que promete ser mais amigo dos leitores. O mesmo permitirá tomar notas em qualquer parte da página "web", abrindo caixas de texto para o efeito. A leitura "offline" também será uma das possibilidades.

 3ª HoloLens: a Microsoft vai chegar às imagens digitais a três dimensões. Através de uns óculos que permitem visualizar e manipular hologramas, a tecnológica inaugura uma nova categoria de produtos. O Windows 10 vai permitir o desenvolvimento de aplicações que integrem esta tecnologia. Para já, não há datas de chegada deste dispositivo ao mercado.

3rd HoloLens: Microsoft will get the digital images in three dimensions. Through a pair of glasses that let you see and manipulate holograms, technology ushers in a new product category. Windows 10 will allow the development of applications integrating this technology. For now, there are no dates of this device to the market.

 

4ª Cortana: a assistente digital da Microsoft, comandada pela voz dos utilizadores, vai saltar dos dispositivos móveis para os computadores. A adaptação ainda está em fase de desenvolvimento, mas na sessão de apresentação a Cortana esteve à altura: respondeu com sucesso a todas as perguntas que lhe foram feitas.

4th Cortana: Microsoft's digital assistant, led by the voice of users will jump from mobile devices to computers. The adaptation is still under development, but in the presentation session to Cortana was up to: successfully responded to all the questions that have been made.

 

5ª Surface Hub: tem 84 polegadas e é um dos novos aparelhos apresentados pela empresa. O dispositivo táctil quer conquistar as salas de reuniões um pouco por todo o mundo. A partilha de documentos para o auditório é uma das funcionalidades previstas.

6ª Aplicações universais: a indústria da programação poderá mexer com esta novidade. A Microsoft quer desenvolver aplicações que estejam otimizadas para funcionar em todos os dispositivos com Windows 10. Word, Excel e PowerPoint já estão previstos nesta inclusão.

7ª O Menu Iniciar: um dos ícones da Microsoft está de volta. Maior do que em versões anteriores, o menu pretende tornar mais fáceis as pesquisas. O mesmo funcionará através de mosaicos coloridos.

8ª Notificações: o centro de notificações de telefone e "phablets" passa a estar sincronizado com o computador. Assim, quando um alerta for lido num dos dispositivos, todos os outros passarão a registar automaticamente essa tomada de conhecimento.

9ª Xbox: a aplicação da Xbox no Windows 10 vai permitir reunir todos os jogos disputados na consola de jogos ou noutro dispositivo Windows 10, onde a mesma já vem instalada. Na prática, toda a informação dos jogadores é compilada num único sítio.

10ª O Nome: o último sistema operativo lançado pela empresa foi o Windows 8. O novo nome fica assim fora da ordem expectável. Com o novo algarismo o objetivo é precisamente marcar uma rutura com o passado.

Eventos Culturais / Cultural Events: A Festa de São Sebastião e a Feira do Fumeiro em Montalegre / The Feast of San Sebastian and the Fair Meats in Montalegre

 Apesar de não ter ido ao evento de que vos vou falar em seguida, trata-se de uma iniciativa, uma das muitas de que vou tendo conhecimento e que faz parte da cultura do povo de Trás-os-Montes.

Despite not having gone to you the event I will talk next it is an initiative, one of many that I have knowledge and that’s part of the culture of the people of Tras-os-Montes.

Reza a Lenda

...que há muitos, muitos anos...

Houve em Portugal um ano de fome e peste, que também atingiu os habitantes do “Couto Dornelas”. Foram tantos os mortos que os mais crentes apelaram a São Sebastião para que os protegesse de tal flagelo. Se a doença se afastasse, se os doentes melhorassem e os animais escapassem, prometiam realizar anualmente a 20 de Janeiro, uma festa onde não faltasse pão e carne para quantos a ela comparecessem.

Como o Santo não faltou, cumpriu-se o prometido e assim se fez ao longo dos tempos. Mas, com o passar dos anos, o povo foi ficando esquecido e mal-agradecido e, um ano não se sabe bem porque motivo, a festa não se realizou. O povo ficou assim sem a proteção do Santo, advogado da fome, da peste e da guerra...

...Conta ainda a lenda, que em 1809 (ano em que Napoleão, Imperador da França, mandou invadir pela segunda vez Portugal) as tropas entraram por Chaves a caminho do Porto, passando pelas terras do “Couto Dornelas”.

A má fama dos invasores já tinha chegado às estas gentes, que aterrorizados pela iminente invasão e suas consequências (pilhagens, mortes e violações), saíram à rua com a imagem de São Sebastião e acolhendo-se à sua proteção renovaram a promessa:

Se os invasores não entrarem em “Dornelas” faremos todos os anos no dia 20 de Janeiro, uma festa em tua honra onde não faltará comida a toda a gente que a ela vier.

Nesse dia, diz a lenda que caiu tal nevão à volta de “Couto Dornelas” que obrigou os invasores a desviarem-se do seu caminho deixando em paz estas gentes. Lenda ou não, a verdade é que se tem mantido a tradição e todos os anos a 20 de Janeiro os habitantes do “Couto Dornelas” renovam a promessa.

O único aviso que vos faço é: devem levar um garfo para poderem comer e que segundo me constou vale a pena ir até lá. Trata-se de uma festa popular um género de festa muito comum nesta região.

The Legend

Fumeiro em Montalegre / Fair of the Cured Meats in Montalegre

Começa hoje, dia 22 de janeiro, a XXIV Feira do Fumeiro e Presunto de Barroso, em Montalegre e vai decorrer até dia 25 de janeiro. Para impulsionar o certame, a autarquia aposta, tal como em anos anteriores, num videoclip à moda de Barroso, produzido pela Purple Media. Para a edição de 2015, foram reunidos condimentos únicos: mais de 100 pessoas no elenco e as fantásticas paisagens do Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês (PNPG). Durante dois dias de rodagem, Luís Pedreira deu vida a  "Ti Henrique Capelas", numa fiel comparação ao conhecido músico Enrique Iglesias. Os cenários exteriores são no território do Baixo Barroso (Cabril, Fafião, Venda Nova e Salto) e os interiores tiveram lugar na cozinha tradicional no Ecomuseu de Barroso – Casa do Capitão. Trata-se de um convite divertido, feito por gente hospitaleira, ao qual Portugal não pode deixar de responder afirmativamente.
