Dia de Portugal - 10 de Junho de 2013 / Portugal Day - June 10th 2013

Terminou ontem a Feira do Livro em Lisboa, este ano a feira foi um sucesso porque atraiu muitos visitantes e pelas vendas efectuadas.

Este ano o prémio Camões o maior galardão literário dedicado à Literatura em Língua Portuguesa foi atribuído a um escritor moçambicano, sobejamente conhecido de todos, Mia Couto. Instituído em 1988, pelo Protocolo Adicional ao Acordo Cultural entre o Governo da República Portuguesa e o Governo da República Federativa do Brasil, visa «consagrar anualmente um autor de língua portuguesa que, pelo valor intrínseco da sua obra, tenha contribuído para o enriquecimento do património literário e cultural da língua comum».

Ontem foi dia 10 de Junho e, como sempre, a maior parte das bibliotecas estiveram fechadas. Eis um aspecto que sempre me intrigou porque as bibliotecas não abrem os seus serviços à comunidade em horários mais alargados e em dias mais úteis para todos?

Independentemente de tudo e dos momentos difíceis por que todos passamos, foi um dia bem passado, um dia em que ainda é feriado e em que não podemos esquecer que somos portugueses e que melhores tempos virão.
