1 – O livro inédito mais grosso do mundo: Das Buch des dickste Universums, editado pela Zeitgeist Media GMBH reúne textos e desenhos elaborados por crianças num concurso realizado pelo Ministério Federal dos Transportes, Construção e Assuntos Urbanos da Alemanha. Foi anunciado por Käpt'n Blaubärs Verkehrsfibel, uma revista de entretenimento educativo para as crianças filhos de segurança rodoviária. Verificado em 6 de Outubro de 2010, na Frankfurt Book Fair, na Alemanha. A lombada do livro mede 4.08 metros (13 pés 6,63 in) de largura, tem 50,560 páginas e pesa 220 kg (485 lb). Mais de 40.000 crianças participaram no concurso "crianças e tráfego rodoviário" enviando desenhos e textos, que foram digitalizados, impressos e encadernados para o livro mais grosso. A empresa de impressão utilizada era GGP Media em Pößneck, Alemanha, uma empresa do Grupo Bertelsmann. O livro é impresso por encomenda, e pode ser encomendado em qualquer livraria alemã por 9.999 Euros (ISBN 978-3-934046-46-7).

a publicar o seu livro pela primeira vez: Bertha Wood, uma inglesa, publicou o seu primeiro livro, Ar fresco e diversão: A História de uma Colónia
de Férias Blackpool, no seu 100 º aniversário em 20 de junho de 2005. O
livro consiste nas memórias, que começou escrever aos 90 anos.
3 – O homem mais velho a
publicar o seu livro pela primeira vez: Constantino Kallias (Grécia) (n. 26 de
junho, 1901) publicou uma primeira edição de livro de
bolso com 169 páginas,
intitulado Uma
Visão da Minha Vida, em fevereiro de 2003, aos 101 anos de idade.
4 – O mais antigo
romance do mundo: Chariton de
Chaireas & Callirhoe, decorre em Siracusa, e narra as aventuras de uma
noiva chamada Callirhoe, e estima-se que seja do I século d.C.
5 - O escritor mais antigo de histórias aos quadradinhos: é o criador do Capitão
América Joe
Simon (EUA, n. Out 11, 1913), que continua a trabalhar como escritor de quadradinhos, o artista e
editor a partir de janeiro de 2010. Joe Simon também escreve sob o pseudónimo Gregory Sykes, e Henery Jon.
6 – O mais jovem autor best-seller
de uma série de livros: Christopher
Paolini (EUA), nascido em 17 Novembro de 1983, é
o mais jovem autor de uma série de livros best-seller com vendas superiores a 20 milhões de cópias a partir de maio de 2011, o Ciclo da Herança, que
consiste na Eragon livros Eldest, Brisingr, e Herança, devido ao lançamento, em 8 de novembro de 2011, continua
a ser um dos favoritos dos fãs de fantasia do
mundo. O primeiro volume do ciclo,
iniciado quando Christopher tinha
apenas 15 anos, foi lançado
originalmente em 2002 por Paolini International LLC, antes de ser publicado no ano seguinte por Alfred A. Knopf, que passou
a publicar o resto do Ciclo da Herança.
O primeiro livro da série, Eragon, foi transformado num filme (lançado em 2006).
São considerados best-sellers
nesta categoria porque embora outros autores ainda mais
jovens tenham conseguido
escrever série de livros de publicação, nenhuma alcançou qualquer coisa que aproxima aos números fenomenais de vendas usufruídos por Christopher Paolini e por isso não pode
ser considerado para o
recorde de mais jovem autor de uma série de livros best-seller.

vendido em leilão: Birds of
America contem 1.000 ilustrações em tamanho real de 435 aves desenhadas e
impressas e foi vendido num leilão por 7,3 milhões de Euros.
8 – Recorde
mundial para traduções de um único título assinado por um autor : pertence a Paulo
Coelho (Brasil) que assinou 53 edições de idiomas diferentes do seu best-seller
- O Alquimista em 10 de outubro de 2003, 18:30-20:00, na feira do Livro de Frankfurt,
na Alemanha.
9 – A autora mais
traduzida em todo o mundo: Conforme inventário da UNESCO de traduções
de livros, a dama do crime Agatha
Christie é a autora mais traduzida em todo o mundo, com 6.598 traduções de
seus contos, romances e peças teatrais.
10 – O maior título de
livro do mundo: O maior título de um livro é composto de 5.633
caracteres (1.086 palavras) e foi escrito pelo Dr. Sreenathachary Vangeepuram (Índia) em 2010, e nem mesmo a
página oficial do Guinness o disponibilizou.

um livro com o dedo, para delírio de uma plateia formada moradores locais,
auditores, e jornalistas ansiosos por uma pauta imperdível.
13 – O mais rápido maratonista
fantasiado de personagem literário: 3 h 02 min 30 seg. foi o tempo que
David Ross precisou para vencer a
maratona de Londres vestido de Dennis, o pimentinha.

Pessoa mais jovem a escrever um livro publicado (masculino): O recorde para o autor mais
jovem do sexo masculino publicado
é de 5 anos e 302 dias e foi atingido por
Adauto Kovalski da
Silva (Brasil), que lançou seu

de 2005.

publicado (feminino):
O mais novo autor comercializado publicado do sexo feminino é Dorothy Straight (n. 25 de
maio de 1958), de Washington,
DC, EUA, que escreveu
Como o Mundo Começou em 1962,
aos 4 anos. Foi publicado em agosto de 1964 pela Pantheon
Books.

1 – The unpublished book thicker in the world: Das Buch des dickste
Universums, edited by Zeitgeist Media GMBH brings together texts and drawings
produced by children in a competition held by the Federal Ministry of
Transport, Building and Urban Affairs of Germany. It
was announced by Käpt'n Blaubärs Verkehrsfibel, a magazine for children
edutainment children of road safety. Checking
on 6 October 2010, at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany. The
spine of the book measures 8.4 meters (13 feet 6.63 in) wide, is 50.560 pages
and weighs 220 kg (485 lb). More
than 40,000 children participated in the contest "children and road
traffic" by sending drawings and texts that have been scanned, printed and
bound for the book thicker. The
printing company was used GGP Media in Pößneck, Germany, a company of the
Bertelsmann Group. The
book is printed on demand, and can be ordered in any bookshop German Euros by
9999 (ISBN 978-3-934046-46-7).

author of a series of bestselling books with sales exceeding 20 million copies As
of May 2011, the Inheritance Cycle, which consists of the books Eragon Eldest,
Brisingr, and Inheritance, due to launch on November 8, 2011, remains a fan
favorite fantasy world. The
first volume of the cycle started when Christopher was 15, was originally
released in 2002 by Paolini International LLC, before it is published next year
by Alfred A. Knopf, who
began to publish the rest of the Inheritance Cycle.

(female) - The youngest published author marketed female is
Dorothy Straight (b. May 25, 1958), Washington, DC, USA, who wrote How the
World Began in 1962, to four years. It was published
in August 1964 by Pantheon Books.
Fifteen records pulled from
the list, but there are more, it is a matter of seeking in the official page of
the Guinness record.
